The Evolution of Television

Television      Television has adapted drastically over the past one hundred years.  It started as a disk being projected onto a blank screen and is now essentially a large computer with gaming and streaming capabilities.  Television is one of the fastest adapting methods of entertainment of all time.  It has continued to adapt to keep up with modern demand and new technology.   Photo Credit Early Television      The first television was invented in 1927.  It was electronic and invented by Philo Taylor Farnsworth.  The first models of the television were adjusted and worked with until a solid electronic model was able to be produced fairly efficiently.  In 1938, television sets were produced for public sale.  They became popular almost immediately, and added improvements were continuously invented.  As television sales rose, television stations and channels began to take off as well.  Television slowly began to take over entertainment, and radios became less popular.   Photo Credit Mod

Public Relations      Public relations is described as " the professional maintenance of a favorable public image by a company or other organization or a famous person".  Public relations has become more common over time.  Large companies have gotten to the point where they hire entire departments that are responsible for positively presenting the company and monitoring their publicity.  Public relations has the ability to save a companies' reputation if done correctly, but it also has the ability to create scandals that can absolutely ruin a company.   Photo Credit P.T. Overview We have already established that social media can be a beneficial tool if it is used correctly.  Today we are going to discuss some ways to balance the use of social media and screen time with everyday life.  It is so easy to start scrolling and unintentionally waste hours of time. Overview Social Media is very controversial among people of all ages.  It seems like each generation uses social media even more than the last, and this can be both a good and a bad thing.  We are quick to point out the flaws of social media (there are plenty), but today we are going to focus on the benefits of using social media in a healthy way.  I am going to list the top five reasons why social media can be beneficial to its users.   Reason #1 Social media is a great way to stay in touch with friends and family, especially if you do not live close to them or see them often.  It is a great way to update friends and family on what is happening in your life.  Apps like Instagram and Facebook allow your followers to view what you have posted to your feed.  Social media can also be used to message and keep in touch with certain individuals.  Apps like Snapchat allow you to correspond with people that have added you, and it offers both photo and chat capabilities.   Reason #2 Social medi
